Residence Inn by Marriott Announced as New Harbor Point Hotel

Beatty Development Group announced today its plans to develop Residence Inn by Marriott Baltimore Harbor Point, a new extended-stay hotel set to arrive in Fall 2024 at the rapidly growing neighborhood taking shape along Baltimore’s waterfront. The hotel will be operated by Donohoe Hospitality Services, one of the most experienced hotel management companies in the Baltimore – Washington, D.C. region.

Standing at eight stories, the 152-key Residence Inn Harbor Point hotel will feature large comfortable rooms and modern amenities. The hotel entrance and a signature restaurant/bar will both integrate with Allied Row, a vibrant new pedestrian plaza that will branch off the existing streetscape with retail and restaurant space in an inviting, open-air setting.

“Harbor Point is a distinctive neighborhood with strong appeal for both business and leisure travelers,” said Michael Beatty, President, Beatty Development Group. “We’re excited to partner with Marriott and Donohoe to fulfill this unique need for a high-end extended stay hotel space at Harbor Point.”

Residence Inn by Marriott is the global leader in the extended-stay lodging segment. Designed for longer stays, the brand offers spacious suites with separate living, working, and sleeping zones that provide guests with the space and freedom to travel the way they like to live. With fully functional kitchens, complimentary grocery delivery service, 24-hour markets, and complimentary breakfast, guests can maximize their time and thrive while they travel.

The uniquely shaped hotel is complemented by Allied | Harbor Point, an adjacent mixed-use residential building currently under construction. The Residence Inn Harbor Point building was designed by BHC Architects and the hotel’s interior design will be led by Beatty Design Group.

“The Harbor Point hotel marks the sixth Residence Inn in our growing portfolio,” said Thomas Penny, III, President, Donohoe Hospitality Services. “Our familiarity with the brand and the region will allow us to ramp up the property more quickly, and our numerous sister properties will create economies of scale and shared best practices that will further benefit the hotel. We are confident the Residence Inn Baltimore Harbor Point will quickly take its place as both the market and segment leader.”

Located along Baltimore’s scenic waterfront between Harbor East and historic Fell’s Point, Harbor Point is a 27-acre mixed-use neighborhood with a planned three million square feet of office, retail, residential, and hotel uses, as well as 9.5 acres of open space.
