Greg’s Bagels Relocating to Harbor Point

Local Baltimore favorite Greg’s Bagels will be relocating to Thames Street Wharf in Harbor Point. With a planned opening for Spring 2022, the new Greg’s Bagels will occupy the first-floor corner storefront at 1300 Thames Street. For owner Tommy Hearn, the move to Harbor Point represents an opportunity to modernize the business, a North Baltimore staple for more than 30 years.

“Change is always going to be tough, but we’ve had an incredible outpouring of love and support since we’ve announced this move,” said Hearn. “We’re excited to pursue this opportunity to grow at Harbor Point, and we’re looking forward to welcoming old friends and making new ones when we reopen at our new spot.”

Among the planned changes for the new location are a revised menu, cashless payment system, and most notably a bagel-rolling machine. Hearn is quick to point out that though the process for making bagels will become automated, the batter will continue to be freshly made in-house using the recipe developed by original owner Greg Novik.

“Greg’s Bagels is nothing short of a Baltimore institution,” said Michael Beatty, President, Beatty Development Group. “We’re pleased to welcome this well-known local favorite to Harbor Point and excited to see how the store will expand and evolve in this new location.”

Opened in 2010, Thames Street Wharf was the first building to open at Harbor Point. The multi-tenant office building is home to Morgan Stanley, Johns Hopkins Medicine International, and Think|Stack. Located along Baltimore’s scenic waterfront between Harbor East and historic Fell’s Point, Harbor Point is a 27-acre mixed-use project with a planned three million square feet of office, retail, residential, and hotel uses, as well as 9.5 acres of open space.

JLL’s Jeff Bach and Bryan Cyphers represented Beatty Development Group in the transaction; Adam Meissner with DBM Real Estate Group represented Greg’s Bagels.
